Classic Cardigan (Pewter Tweed)
- Description
This season, we chose a yarn using alpaca and wool fibers that are local to the our factory in Peru. The yarns have a rich charcoal color with a speckling of brown, white, and grey tones that, when knit, give the sweaters the look of Scottish tweed. The tweedy neps are accomplished by distributing contrasting fibers through the yarn irregularly - some cheaper yarns typically feature synthetics because they resist dye, but our mill accomplishes the effect using only using natural fibers. This cardigan features lightly dropped shoulders, ribbed cuffs and hem, and a substantial button placket with corozo buttons. The cardigan has a boxier cut that makes for easy layering.
